This course will include all material to make 2 simple stacking rings in sterling silver. Here’s the outline: 
We’ll start with an Introduction to the jewellers workbench and corresponding hand tools. Emphasis will be on learning to use the flex shaft and oxygen/propane jewellers torch. Following this a brief explanation of working with sterling silver, some of the metallurgical properties and their practical application. Next up is an in-depth start to finish demonstration: Cut material to proper length for specific finger size, prepare and solder seam, shape on ring mandrel, explore a range of finishing techniques including brushed, forged, polished, etc. Then it’s your turn!
